Picture this....it's raining outside, the kids are screaming and you have run out of milk, bread, and peanut butter. Your head is aching as your 6 year old is grabbing your leg yelling "I'm hungry Mommy!!!". Meanwhile, you are trying to figure out what to make for dinner. What can you possibly make that will be somewhat nutritious for your children?
So you start rummaging through the cupboards and refrigerator to find....really nothing that looks like a meal that anyone will eat, let alone 3 hungry children. So you retreat to old faithful. Hmmm..... peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!!! That has fruit, peanuts and dairy. Score! But oops...you're out of peanut butter and bread. Strike one. So what is the next option...
How about....oh, mac and cheese! That has milk and cheese. That sounds pretty healthy, right? Milk is good for their bones and teeth. The dentist will love this. Sounds like a great plan, right??? But...you're out of milk. Strike two.
Next option...order pizza to be delivered. Oh yeah...this is going to be great! We can order one with vegetables and it has cheese. The crust has grains. This is a very healthy choice..... hahahaha!!! Pizza should really be on the food pyramid, don't you think? Sooooo, you call for delivery. By the time you get through on the phone, there is at least a 2 hour wait because of the rain and they only have 1 delivery driver tonight. What??? Can this get any worse? Strike three.
So what do you do now before the kids absolutely lose it? What can you do that will quiet the kids and relieve your headache? What can possibly help this situation without locking yourself in the closet? Hmmmm.....I'm thinking popsicles and a quick car ride to the store to pick up some groceries. Am I crazy? How could this possibly be a good plan? Sugar, rain and 3 kids in the store?
Well, if you are a parent like myself, you have been in a situation like this at one time or another. And the last thing you want to do with a headache and 3 screaming children is go to the grocery store in the rain. Trust me...it's not fun. But what other choice do you have? The Grocery Fairy isn't just going to show up at the front door with everything you need...or will she?
Sometimes I like to think of the Rediscovered Moments Concierge Team as our clients' personal Fairies. We can make an inconvenient and sometimes time consuming errand into a breeze for you. If you give us a call, we can pick up the groceries for you...from 1 store or multiple stores...in the same trip, on the same day. And while you are waiting for them to be delivered to your door, you can be splashing in the rain and jumping in puddles (while eating popsicles) with your children. You can "rediscover some moments" with your children while we take care of your shopping. Let us help you create happy memories with your children...not memories of dragging your screaming children to the grocery store.
Let us be your personal concierge team. We are here to help you live a happier and less stressed life.
